Beginning Fall 2010, the Office of Information Technology initiated a strategic planning process intended to guide service delivery and project implementation over a three to five year time line. This process consists of six phases, with Phase 4 scheduled to begin with alignment to the FY 13 budget planning processes that will be initiated in Fall 2011.
A Strategic Technology Plan will provide a scaffold for guiding system change. The rapid pace of technological change means that we are challenged to make decisions and provide services in an organizational context that is emergent and that is frequently shaped by external drivers such as vendor products, industry standards, and consumer choice.
