- Drake owned computers come pre-loaded with Microsoft Office. If you wish to request an update please see the service catalog to submit a request.
- Faculty, staff, and students may obtain a copy of office for personal use on non university owned computers via E-Academy link from the “IT Support Center tab” within blueview. For detailed information on how to obtain the software click here.
Apple OS:
- The Apple OS is licensed for use on Drake owned computers. If you wish to request an update please see the service catalog to submit a request.
Adobe products: Drake University is a participant in Adobe’s “Contractual Licensing Program” which enabled purchase of many of Adobe’s software products at a considerable discount for use on University owned computers. The program also enables students, faculty and staff to purchase Adobe software for their own computers at significant discounts.

Sophos Antivirus: Pushes out updated virus definitions to clients proactively and protects against Spyware and Malware
- Faculty and staff using University owned computers have Sophos pre-installed.
- Students, faculty and staff may download the current version of Sophos for personal use. Note that this version must be updated each year.

Mathematica for Macintosh or Windows:
- Students may obtain a current copy at no cost from the Support Center if enrolled in a class that requires the software.
- Faculty and staff may request installation via the service catalog.
SPSS for Macintosh or Windows:
- Faculty and staff may request installation via the service catalog. Note: SPSS may only be used for research and teaching. The software is not licensed for for-profit or administrative use.
- Faculty, staff, and students may obtain a copy of SPSS products for personal use on non university owned computers via E-Academy link from the “IT Support Center tab” within blueview.
SAS:
- Faculty and staff may request installation via the service catalog.
