Accounts & Passwords : Information about how to login and how to reset your password if you are having trouble logging on. After changing your password it may be necessary to update devices with the new password.

Resetting your password solves most problems and is a good first troubleshooting step if you are unable to login. Note: Drake has a new self service password reset which allows you to reset your own password once you have set your security questions.

Backup Services: OIT backs up Drake owned desktops and laptops using Retrospect to copy your local profile on both Windows and Mac PCs. In order to be backed up successfully, each desktop or laptop must be connected to the Drake wired network.

Blackboard & Teaching Resources: Information about our Learning Management System (LMS) Blackboard, as well information about clickers and other teaching resources.

Bluespace Drive: Bluespace provides digital storage “in the cloud” which is accessible via any web browser or the desktop drive. The desktop drive functions much like a USB memory drive would. If you would like to request the drive please click here.

Computer Purchases (Departmental): Information about purchasing a computer for official Drake use.

Computer Purchases (Personally owned): Information about discounts on devices that can be purchased for personal (home) use.

Checkout Items: Client Services has video projectors, laptops, screens, curtains, mics, dvd players, sound systems and more!

Digital Media Services: Faculty, need help with that video project for your next lecture? Want more information about how to podcast with itunesU?

Maintenance & Change Calendar:  Information about all changes that will be applied to Drake systems. This includes regular maintenance, which typically happens on friday at 4pm.

Mobile Device Support:  Information about which devices will work with the drake system, as well as how to set them up for email contacts and calendar.

Printing Info : Information about how to connect your computer to Drake’s xerox print system.

Room Scheduling (AdAstra) : Information about room availability, AdAstra is used by Drake University to efficiently schedule courses into buildings and rooms as well as to schedule locations for special events and meetings.

Software Info : Information about software that is available to Drake University Faculty and Staff. This includes information about how to access E-Academy to download copies of Microsoft Office and Sophos for personal use.

Voice Related Services : Information about how to access voicemail, make conference calls with your desk phone, and request conference phones for meetings.

VPN Access: To facilitate secure off-campus connectivity to the Drake University network, the Office of Information Technology provides a virtual private network (VPN) connection option for mobile workers.

Wireless Network Info :  University owned devices should automatically be setup to connect, if you need assistance please contact either your local IT support or the support center.

Wireless Network, Personally owned devices: Faculty and Staff may also connect personally owned devices to the wireless network. They will need to be registered on the network and may require yearly re-registration (netreg). To setup a personally owned device follow these directions.

If you do not have antivirus software, please make sure to download sophos, which is licensed for personal use. Note this download will only work from off campus, and will not work when connected to the Drake network.
