Description

The Drake Google domain provides faculty, staff, and students  a suite of hosted applications and uses a Drake ID to authenticate. Accounts are automatically provisioned. To access google applications click on the "Drake Google Docs" on the sidebar of the main OIT page.

What do I need to get this service?

An activated Drake ID.  Accounts are automatically provisioned with the creation of a user's Drake ID.

What is included?

The Drake Google domain grants access to Google applications including Drive (Docs), Youtube, Picassa, SlideRocket and Google Calendar. Note that Google email is not enabled for the Drake Google applications.

When is support for the service available?

User support is available 24x7 via Google’s website at http://support.google.com.  You can search for the application you need help with (for example Google Docs) and you will be taken to Google’s online help center for that particular product. User and technical support is provided M – F during the posted Drake Support Center hours found at http://oit.drake.edu/support-center/

How long does it take to get the service?

Accounts are automatically provisioned. Service is available on demand direclty via Drake Google Docs link on the OIT webpage.

How do I change, or stop the service?

Access to Google Applications / Docs is tied to a Drake ID and remains available until a faculty or staff member leaves the university.
